
SCOREscotland are recruiting a Project Leader position to work on their Together We Thrive project.
The post is part-time 21 hours per week, contracted to the end of October 2028, with a salary of £30,152 pro-rata.

The role focuses on building positive relationships between New Scots (refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants) and the local Scottish community in SW Edinburgh. The post holder will help create a welcoming and supportive environment where New Scot families can connect with established communities, while also promoting health and wellbeing by empowering participants to take part in activities that support both their physical and mental wellbeing
The post holder will be responsible for delivering the following:
1. Weekly Multicultural Family Networking Group Sessions: offering networking and informal learning opportunities through a range of practical and recreational activities including skills-building workshops such sewing, cooking, and food growing, alongside recreational options such as sports, dance, and music. The aim is to help New Scots families build confidence and self-esteem, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, gain new skills, and develop aspirations for the future.
2. Monthly Multicultural Family Events: to celebrate cultural diversity and promote a sense of belonging by bringing communities together to share and learn about each other’s cultures, histories, and traditions. These events will help strengthen community bonds, build positive relationships, and foster greater cross-cultural understanding and friendship.
3. Quarterly Outings and Visits: to significant Scottish and UK heritage sites, to allow New Scots to have the opportunity to explore Scotland’s rich history, folklore, and landscapes, helping them connect with the living history, culture, and natural beauty of their new home.
4. Annual Community Events: to bring people together, celebrate achievements and create platforms for mutual understanding and respect within the wider community.
5. Legacy – Online Resource Centre: the creation of web pages with multicultural materials displaying the rich diversity of our local communities, helping participants to document their journey with the project and enable future generations to learn and understand their experiences.
