WHALE Arts is excited to announce that this year the Wester Hailes Open Exhibtion will run from 23 October 2026 to 23 January 2027, exhibiting work by local artists and creatives.
This year’s theme is ‘Our Stories’, and is a celebration of the people, places and experiences that make our community what it is. Anyone who lives or works in Wester Hailes can submit work to the exhibition.
The exhibition will be launched with a special opening ceremony on Friday 23 October 2026, 1.00pm – 4.00pm with some light refreshments, a creative activity for everyone to take part in, and a chance to celebrate the creativity and hard work of all the artists. If you cant make the launch they will also be holding an opening on the Saturday 24 October, 11.00am – 3.00pm, where you can explore the exhibition and join in with some creativity activities for all ages!
