The Wester Hailes Community Trust has launched a newsletter giving a monthly bulletin detailing the awards it has granted and how these projects are developing.
The newsletter which can be viewed and subscribed to here, will run monthly.
The first issue, for March 2017, gives information on the group’s most recent awards including two small sparks grants for Pauline Whalen and Wayne Shennan which will help a local garden, a grant of £2400 to Dads Rock for a project with local dads and kids and £2159 to new group About Youth to deliver an environmental volunteering project for local young people aged 16-25.
To find out more about the WHCT and how you could become involved the group run regular community events – the next of which will be on the 20th May at Wester Hailes Library from 10.00 – 2:00pm. They invite local people to share their ideas and enjoy a free lunch.
