The Calders Residents Association welcomed people and organisations from across Wester Hailes at the wonderful Calders Fun Day yesterday, Wednesday 13 July 2022.
The event was well attended with the weather remaining mostly sunny with a good time had by all, despite a brief situation where one of the bouncy castles was unplugged!
The Calders Fun Day takes place every year and always provides a fun day out for the whole family. Yesterday was no exception with bouncy castles and tombola organised by the Calders Residents Association, hula hooping, slime making with With Kids, colouring and rock painting with WHALE Arts, a visit from the PomPom Queen with Starcatchers, face painting, glitter tattoos, and plenty of food from hotdogs and hot drinks with Bethany Christian Trust to delicious salads and pasta from the Health Agency. There was even a chance for people to save what they would like to see in the Calders by contributing to the ongoing Local Place Plan consultation.
