A group of staff from the GP’s, the City of Edinburgh Council and the Health Agency have banded together to start a choir singing group and we went along to one of their rehearsals to pay them a visit.
The group is currently rehearsing a collection of songs ranging from ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’ to ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’. They even hope to sing a local song ‘A whale of a Christmas’.
There are currently several singers in the group and also Peter Cairns playing guitar, Allison Beveridge playing the flute and Martie Cowell playing the recorder. They would like to invite any staff or volunteers from the Healthy Living Centre to join in.
They will be performing on Friday 18 December at 1.00pm at the Christmas tree in the waiting area of the Healthy Living Centre and would like everyone to come along, listen to some music and even join in!
Have a listen of A whale of a Christmas here:
