There was a record turn out at the 2017 Fun Run with 166 people lining up at the start. Even Pudsey made an appearance helping get the run underway. With some competitive runners at the start, there were some fast times round the route. Others took a more leisurely pace but everyone enjoyed being part of the event and there were plenty of smiles at the finish and enough medals to go round! The placings were as follows.
1st Man back: Jason Rankin: 21:24
1st Woman back: Gill Geany : 23:47
1st boy back: Shane Majekodunmi, aged 10: 23:45
1st girl back: Katie McDonald, aged 12: 26:35
1st veteran back: Billy Herron: 25:08
1st buggy back: Davidson family
All other placings can be found below. The timing is done manually on the day so if you timed yourself, there might be a slight variation. We also try to identify everyone but occasionally we can’t so if we’ve missed you out, let us know! The Fun Run Planning Group would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers and organisations that made yesterday’s event possible including Clovenstone Community Centre, Harmeny Running Club, City of Edinburgh Lions Club, Prospect Community Housing, Open Heavens Church, the Health Agency, WHEC and the Broomhouse Centre. We would also like to thank the Wester Hailes Community Trust for funding the event this year.
