The Broomhouse Centre and Health in Mind will be launching a new programme of activities providing mental health support titled the Wellbeing Space.
The Wellbeing Space peer support group is starting this Thursday, 1 November 2018, in Broomhouse Change Kitchen café in St David’s church, Broomhouse at 79-89 Broomhouse Crescent. They will meet every Thursday from 2.00pm – 3330pm. It is a safe space for people who have experience of mental health to come along to talk and be listened to.
Storytelling for mental health – upcoming workshops
They also still have some spaces left on the ‘storytelling for mental wellbeing’ workshops coming up on Tuesdays 20 and 27 November 2018, with Lily Asch from Real Talk. These workshops will give participants the opportunity to craft their experience of mental health into a story to share with others. This will be done in a safe space, with support and encouragement of others with their own experiences. If you are interested in attending, contact Jenny Green at Health in Mind on 0131 225 8508 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
