The City of Edinburgh Council are recruiting a Facilities Technician position based at Murrayburn Primary School.
The post is permanent working 36 hours a week Full Time with a salary of Salary: £19,424 – £21,828.
The Working Hours are 06:45 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday & 06:45 – 13:00 Friday (In Term) & 08:00 – 12:00 Monday to Friday (Out of term).
Purpose of Job
Janitorial duties within a busy building which include opening and closing the building, Health & Safety inspections including water quality checks and fire alarm tests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues and carrying out reasonable requests from customers and building users.
To carry out day to day janitorial and DIY operations ranging from small repairs and general maintenance to reactive cleaning, supporting porterage and conducting security functions.
To provide an efficient and effective facilities technician service in accordance with the Service Level Agreement, CEC policy and any prevailing general standards.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
