Space at The Broomhouse Hub is looking for a Senior Catering Assistant to join the Space Kitchen Cafe team.
The post is Full time working 36 hours per week over five days with a salary of £25,064 per annum (equivalent to £13.39 per hour).
The Role
The Senior Catering Assistant will support up to three Catering Assistants during a shift, promoting teamwork to ensure all daily tasks are completed and our high levels of food production are maintained.
Typical daily tasks include:
- Producing a small menu of fresh dishes to be served in the café, ensuring recipes and being followed by the team
- Spot-checking dishes for quality control
- Serving customers and handling cash
- Ensuring daily cleaning checklists and food-safe paperwork is completed
- Ensuring stock is labelled, stored, and rotated appropriately
- Report any customer feedback to the kitchen supervisor to aid growth and development of the café
The successful candidate should have some experience of working in a professional kitchen/catering environment and be a confident cook with high standards of cleanliness and food production.

* The hours of work will mostly be morning and afternoons. However, there will be occasions when some evening working is required to facilitate events at Broomhouse Hub and at off-site locations.
