Wester Hailes library will be welcoming Mary V. Morton and Jeanna Wigger, authors of “Stitch It, Don’t Ditch It”, for a deep dive into how to tackle garment repairs by hand.
The workshop will take place tomorrow Thursday, 31 July 2025, 2.00pm at the Library. In the workshop, you will learn various hand-mending techniques to create the effects you want and make long-lasting repairs to your clothes.
Bring a damaged article of clothing and any specialty repair materials (such as a suitable zipper or specific fabric); hand sewing supplies and patch material will be included in the workshop. Copies of the authors’ book “Stitch It, Don’t Ditch It” will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
