Officers are continuing to appeal following a robbery in Westburn where a woman was threatened and had her car stolen.
The incident happened around 3.20pm on Tuesday, 12 May, at the rear of the Scotmid store at Morvenside Close in the city.
The 22-year-old woman was parking her white Peugeot 208 when a man approached her, threatened her with a knife and demanded her keys.
The man got into the driver’s seat and another man into the passenger side and they drove off. The woman was not injured.
The car was recovered in Balfour Street in the Leith area around 12.30am on Thursday, 14 May, and enquiries are ongoing to trace the two men.
The suspects are described as white and of gaunt appearance. One was aged 30-40 years with a scruffy blonde beard. He was wearing a black tracksuit and baseball cap. The second man was wearing a navy tracksuit and a black balaclava.
Detective Inspector Robert Wallace said:
Thankfully no one was injured but we need to trace the men responsible for this attack which left the woman frightened and very upset.
We are asking anyone who saw the car from when it was driven off from Morvenside Close until it was found in Leith to get in touch.
Please also make contact if you recognise the men responsible or know where they might be.
Anyone who can help is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2051 of Tuesday, 12 May, 2026, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
