Police in Edinburgh are appealing for information to help trace Shaun Smith, 35, last seen at a property in the Longstone area around 8.30am on Thursday, 8 October, 2026.
He is described as white, around 6ft 3in tall, of average build, with short greying hair. He has a Heart of Midlothian Football Club tattoo on his left leg.
When last seen he was wearing a white hooded top with blue writing on it, beige shorts and black and blue Nike trainers.
Shaun is known to walk in the Currie area and at reservoirs around the Pentlands, Harlaw, Threipmuir, Torduff and along the Water of Leith walkway.
Sergeant James Laing said:
As time passes concerns are growing for Shaun.
Our enquiries are ongoing to trace him and I am appealing for anyone who has seen Shaun or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.
I would also ask anyone who was in the area he was last seen and who may have dash cam or private CCTV that could assist to get in touch.
