Wester Hailes Fun Run 2018 a Success

A little poor weather wasn’t enough to stop this year’s Fun Run with plenty of local people facing the rain and taking part.

After a quick warm up at new starting location Clovenstone Community Centre, they were off! Several local organisations were well represented at the event with teams from WHALE Arts, Clovenstone Amateur Boxing Club, the Open Heavens Church and many others. There was even a guest appearance from Batman.

1st Man back: Jacob Blyth  23.52

1st Woman back: Michelle Herron 29.19

1st Veteran back: Billy Herron 26.12

1st Boy Back: Jaden McGarvey  27.29

1st Girl Back: Baillie Martin 31.45 – Unfortunately Baillie wasn’t available for the award presentation.

The Fun Run Planning Group would like to say a huge thank you to all the volunteers and organisations that made yesterday’s event possible including Clovenstone Community Centre, Harmeny Running Club, City of Edinburgh Lions Club, Prospect Community Housing, Open Heavens Church, the Health Agency, City of Edinburgh Council, Clovenstone Boxing Club, WHEC, Wester Hailes Community Trust and the Broomhouse Centre.
